SUMMARY:Grit with Grace for Teen Girls!
DESCRIPTION:I frequently run across folks who don’t know some of the practical\, what I call\, essential skills for survival in the world. Things like how to fix a loose door handle\, leaky faucet\, how to safely jack up a car and change a tire\, how to jump start a car\, or even how to chop wood and make a fire.  Granted\, in today’s world\, many may never need to do any of these things – but what if they have to? And what about how to set a healthy boundary? Healthy communication?\nCourage ● Confidence ● Self-reliance\nNot that I am an expert\, but I have been fortunate to have people along my path of life teach me some valuable skills that I never knew I would need! I learned about plumbing\, electrical wiring\, how to rebuild a car engine\, how to run power tools and the scariest – chainsaws!  In turn\, I have taught my children how to change oil and more when they were young teens\, have taught friends how to fix a fence\, how to operate a chainsaw\, how to change a flat tire and lots more. And the horses and I often coach people on how to communicate what they want or need and how to set boundaries.\n \nToday\, may youth will not have learned many of these practical skills by they time they are ready to move off on their own or go off to college.  Just having the knowledge of HOW to do some of these practical things empowers and adds to self-reliance.  These ‘Grit with Grace  – on your own’ sessions are designed to empower teens to learn to tackle tasks they might otherwise not have the confidence or know-how to do\, including how to set a boundary and ask for what they want or need!\n \nWe are excited to offer this day-long workshops for teens for only $125 and that includes lunch!  \nThe next session is for teen girls and is Monday\, August 10th\, 10-5p\nSo\, what do horses have to do with this day? The day includes hand’s on skills and fun and coaching with your horse and human coaches exploring courage and confidence!\n**No horse experience is needed.  No riding will occur.** \nSpace is limited to 4 to ensure physical disancing. Who am I now that I no longer have those nightly check in phone calls with my mom?  Who am I now that I have more freedom to step into my work?  What do I truly want to do with this… Huge. Life. DESCRIPTION:I frequently run across folks who don’t know some of the practical\, what I call\, essential skills for survival in the world. Things like how to fix a loose door handle\, leaky faucet\, how to safely jack up a car and change a tire\, how to jump start a car\, or even how to chop wood and make a fire.  Granted\, in today’s world\, many may never need to do any of these things – but what if they have to?\nCourage ● Confidence ● Self-reliance\nNot that I am an expert\, but I have been fortunate to have people along my path of life teach me some valuable skills that I never knew I would need! I learned about plumbing\, electrical wiring\, how to rebuild a car engine\, how to run power tools and the scariest – chainsaws!  In turn\, I have taught my children how to change oil and more when they were young teens\, have taught friends how to fix a fence\, how to operate a chainsaw\, how to change a flat tire and lots more.\n \nToday\, may youth will not have learned many of these practical skills by they time they are ready to move off on their own or go off to college.  Just having the knowledge of HOW to do some of these practical things gives us power AND helps keep us more safe – makes us less vulnerable to those whom prey upon others. DESCRIPTION:Our February Women’s Connection Circle is canceled due to the cold temperatures.              Even though we have heat in the arena it is just too cold! \nOur next Women’s Circle is March 9\, 2019!  \n \n  \nWhat happens at our Women’s Circles? \n– Finding\, owning & stepping into our truth \n– Connecting with yourself\, each other\, with horses\, with nature \n– Release what needs releasing \n– Embrace what is calling you \n– Listen\, celebrate & just be! \nDuring our January group we had a beautiful connection with a small group of women\, ages 20s to 92! We released things in the fire that we chose not to bring with us into this year. We set intentions. We declared our focus for this new year. We laughed. We cried. We set strong boundaries with the inner critic. We learned from the beautiful and powerful healing horses and from each other. \nI can’t wait to see what shows up during our next circle in March!
